The top three teams at the ROX Energy Independence Day Charity Basketball Jam are set to compete in the 2018 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.
Marshalls University College, Ghana Technology University College (GTUC) and University of Professional Studies (UPSA) placed first, second and third respectively.
All three institutions have been drawn in the preliminary stage of the competition which tipped off this past weekend in at Pope John Senior High School in Koforidua.
All Nations University College clinched top spot in the zone to qualify to the national Championship stage due to take place in April.
The likes of Wisconsin University College and Radford University College who competed in March 6’s event have been lined up to play in the 2018 UPAC.
Marshalls has been drawn alongside GTUC, UPSA and Islamic University College in Zone 7; zonal games will be played on March 24.
Wisconsin has been drawn against Accra Technical University, Valley View University and Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) in Zone 6 and games will played on March 22.
Radford is in Zone 7 alongside defending champions University of Ghana, Pentecost University College and Regional Maritime University College.
