Gipuzkoa GBC Center Henk Norel has been named the third best performer in Spain’s Liga Endesa following the conclusion of games in the last round.
Norel helped his team beat RETABET Bilbao Basket; Ghana Forward Ben Bentil recently signed with RETABET and played his first game for the club on Saturday March 4.
Bilbao lost 71-74 to Gipuzkoa GBC to record its 15th loss of the season and remains in 16th place in the 18 team league roster.
Bentil scored two points and added an assist and a rebound in 11 minutes off the bench; he is likely to be in action on March 11.
In the game, Norel starred for Gipuzkoa recording 18 points and six rebounds taking his season averages to 14.4 points and a league leading 7.6 rebounds per game.
Bentil joins teammates on Sunday March 11 when Bilbao takes on third placed Valencia in Week 22 away from home.
Former Cleveland Cavaliers player Edy Tavares was named the top performer of the week following his 13 point, 13 rebound double, double for Real Madrid.
His efforts helped Madrid maintain first place in the league with a 96-81 win over Burgos; Real has won 19 of 21 games played this season.
