Later today rapper Lil Shaker will headline a string of performing acts during the Independence Basketball Bash.
The one day tournament will be played at the University of Professional Studies (UPSA) in Legon and has ten schools competing.
The competition coincides with Ghana’s 61st Independence Day Celebrations on March 6 and the “Madakraa” hit maker is the biggest act set to rock the event.
Aside immense talent as a musician and producer, Shaker is an avid basketball fan and plays the sport often. He participated in the 2016 Sprite Ball All Star Game alongside other celebrity musicians including Wanluv Kubolor and JaySo.
The tournament is sponsored by ROX Energy Drink and and has 206 All Africa University Games Basketball Winners University of Ghana competing.
UPSA’s Male Basketball Team will compete as well as the likes of Ghana Institute of Journalism, Marshalls University College and Central University.
Activities including free throw shooting contest, three point shooting contest and slam dunk contest is on the itinerary.
