All Nations University College is the first team to qualify to the quarterfinals of the 2018 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.
The team topped Zone 1 in the opening round of games in this year’s edition and has capitalized on the opportunity to forewarn prospective opponents at the knockout stage of the competition which takes place in April.
According to Sports Chairperson of the institution, Bernard Obi, his team is well prepared to play at the latter stages next month mainly due to the extra rest days that were not present last year.
All Nations also competes in the Private Universities Sports Association Games (PUSAG) which is staged days before UPAC’s knockout phase. However, this year’s PUSAG will be played a full week before.
“Last year we went for the PUSAG and right after that we came straight to Accra so the stress and fatigue was too much that’s why my boys couldn’t do well but this time it wouldn’t crash with the PUSAG so we are coming live and colored so the rest of the schools should watch out for All Nations” he said.
