However, for runaway leaders in the preseason competition-Nungua Coldstore and Ashaiman Lions-today’s fixtures present an opportunity to extend winning runs.
Both teams are yet to be beaten in the tournament registering two wins in as many games to lead to lead Groups B and A respectively.
Lions have beaten Tema Community 2 and Teshies Rangers in the previous rounds and face a winless Ghana Police side.
In Group B, former league champions Coldstore plays Akatsi Rifles at 15:00 GMT today after clinching wins over Tema Heat and Tema Community 4.
Like Police, Rifles are winless in the competition and Nungua can seal a top spot finish with its third win. Only group winners’ progress to the final game set to be played on March 11.
Community 2 takes on Ghana Police while Community 4 plays against Heat in the remaining games.
