After Ghana Center Amida Brimah was inactive in Austin Spurs 109-117 loss to Northern Arizona Suns, he made a return to the hardwood last night.
Brimah was inaction in Spurs 123-112 comeback win over Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the NBA Gatorade League at the HEB Center.
Amida played sparingly off the bench as he featured for eight minutes chipping in two points and three rebounds; the league’s best shot blocker couldn’t add to his season average of 2.8 as he did not register a block in the game.
Beating Vipers for the second time this season was important to maintain Austin’s chase to regain top spot in the Western Conference.
South Bay Lakers replaced Spurs at the Conference summit following the loss to Suns; Austin’s record stands at 26 wins and 6 losses.
Point Guard Derrick White led all scorers as he registered 38 points, six assists and seven rebounds while Monte Morris of Vipers produced 23 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.
