Young highly rated tactician Albert Djan will lead Wisconsin University College Male Basketball Team Basketballghana.com gathers.

This move comes on the eve of this year’s tournament which tips off on Saturday March 3 at Pope John Senior High School in Koforidua.

Djan has been involved in coaching for several years with stints at Koforidua Senior High Technical School (KSTS) and Community 2 in the Tema Basketball League.

This will not be Djan’s maiden appearance in the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.

He coached Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) at the 2016 Championship leading the side to the quarterfinals.

Wisconsin has competed in the 2016 and 2017 Championships but is yet to progress beyond the preliminary stage.

The team will be in action on March 22 against former winners Accra Technical University, GIMPA and Valley View University in Zone 5 games.

Wisconsin is set to compete at the University of Professional Studies (UPSA) Independence Day Bash as preparation for UPAC.
