The Austin Spurs have been replaced at the top of the NBA Gatorade League Western Conference standings by South Bay Lakers.

This follows the team’s 105-117 loss to Northern Arizona Suns in recent games played in the league; the loss follows a 100-91 win over Oklahoma City Blue.

Losing to Northern Arizona was Austin’s 16th of the campaign which has seen the San Antonio Spurs G League affiliate win 25 games.

The Lakers have the same number of wins but have lost 15 games; one fewer than Austin has recorded all season.

Lakers have moved to the summit after clinching seven wins in 10 games while Spurs have won six of its last ten games.

Sioux Force Skyfalls, Rio Grande Valley Vipers and Texas Legends round up the top five in the conference. Westchester Knicks and Fort Wayne Mad Ants are the top two sides in the East.

Austin has difficult games to play in the upcoming rounds as the team takes on Rio Vipers on March 2 before playing Fort Wayne on March 4.
