Ghana Center Amida Brimah was held out of Austin Spurs 105-117 loss to Northern Arizona Suns in the NBA Gatorade League.
The 6 foot 11 inch Center is one the best rim protectors and leads the league in blocked shots despite experiencing a dip in form in recent games.
Brimah has averaged 2.8 blocks per game this season and has registered 6.6 points and 7.1 rebounds in 39 games for Austin.
The former University of Connecticut Captain failed to register a point in Spurs 100-91 win over Oklahoma City Blue over the weekend.
Without its top defender in last night’s game to Suns, Spurs lost its 16th game of the season with Forward Jaron Blossomgame top scoring in the tie.
Like Brimah, Shooting Guard Nick Johnson has been struggling offensively recently and his output was no different as he scored three points.
The team will be in action on Friday March 2 against Rio Grande Valley Vipers who are ranked fourth in the West standings before playing Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
