Ghana Forward Ben Bentil turned pro just two years ago but the versatile former NBA Draft pick already has quite an extensive list of former teams.
Bentil signed for RETA BET Bilbao Basket who play in Spain’s top flight Liga Englesa little over a day ago after starting this season in France with Champagne Chalons Reims.
Bilbao is Bentil’s fifth club since getting drafted by Boston Celtics 51st overall in the 2016 NBA Draft following two years at Providence College.
Much like his immediate former side Reims, Bilbao is struggling in the Spanish top flight which is led by Real Madrid.
The side sits 16th in the 18 team standings with just six wins in 20 games this season and is on a two game losing streak after falling to Fuenlabrada and Barcelona.
Basketballghana.com understands Bentil will be available for Bilbao’s next league fixture against Gipuzkoa GBC on Sunday March 4; Gipuzkoa is ranked 13th in the league
Bentil has played for Dallas Mavericks in the NBA, Gatorade League side Fort Wayne Mad Ants and Chinese side Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers.
He averaged 11.7 points and 4.8 rebounds per game for Reims in 20 games.
