Ghana Forward has signed for RETABET Bilbao Basket in Spain’s Liga Endesa for the remainder of the season per information reaching Basketballghana.com

The Sekondi born player who turns 23 later this year left French Pro A side Champagne Chalons-Reims to facilitate the move; in 20 games in Northern France, Bentil averaged 11.7 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.

He leaves the team as the second lead scorer behind Iceland international Martin Hermmansson with Reims in a fight to avoid falling to Pro B.

Despite starting his career in Europe on a good note leading the team’s scorer’s chart for much of the season, his play in recent games dipped as he failed to register double digit points in three straight games.

He joins another relegation threatened side in Bilbao as the team ranks 16th out of the 18 team roster led by Real Madrid.

Bilbao is the latest stop for the well traveled Ghanaian despite turning professional two years ago. Bentil has played in China, the NBA’s Gatorade League and France.

He had a ten day stint with Dallas Mavericks in the NBA making history as the first Ghana born player to do so.
