The 2017-2018 Global Sporting Platform (GSP) Basketball League clawed back from a lengthy break with a flurry of exciting games at the Eusbett Court in Sunyani.
With excitement returning to Ghana’s Brong Ahafo Region capital following over two months without league basketball, the Eusbett Court will stage games to the latter parts of April.
However, the top remains unchanged following the conclusion of the first week in the second round which tipped off this past weekend.
University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) continues to lead the eight team roster after recording its fifth win of the campaign.
UENR pummeled Barracks Scorpions 34-9 to remain top; LIR Royals remain in second place after recording a similar big win over bottom ranked side Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints.
Royals beat Saints 43-15 in the final game of the round. Former league winner Suncity Braves opened the round with a 45-28 win over West Siders to maintain third place.
Fourth place side Desert Rabbits stayed put despite recording a difficult 17-12 win over Sunyani Technical University (STU).
