CDH Financial Holdings Limited Chief Executive Officer Emmanuel Adu Sarkodee has spearheaded the construction of a brand new basketball court for Pope John Senior High School and Junior Seminary.
The new court was officially opened to correspond with the 60th Anniversary celebrations of the Koforidua-based Catholic school.
The Court has a smooth surface perfect for proper dribbling and with two fiber glass backboards and decked out with the school’s blue and yellow colors.
Adu Sarkodee, a prominent member of the 1989 Year Group, was the leader behind the construction and the infrastructure has been aptly named after him.
Per Physical Education Master Fred Dwamena, the court forms part of a sports complex the school intends to develop to raise its standards.
Pope John holds an enviable spot in Ghana High School sports annals clinching several regional and national awards including two bronze medals at the Sprite Ball Championship.
At the recent edition held in January this year, Pope John beat Sacred Heart Technical Institute 21-12 to finish on the podium.
CDH Holdings is one of Ghana’s leading financial institutions.
