Both teams have won the Tema Basketball League and are competing in the final tune up competition before this season’s Tema League tips off.
Coldstore walked out of the “Champions” tie with a 38-25 win in the final game of the maiden round of the tournament at C4’s Court.
Both teams were making their first appearance in a competitive Tema League related competition after sitting out the preseason competition in December last year.
With the two sides out for a lengthy period, it was Coldstore who got the much needed momentum in key moments to score the 13 point win in Group B.
The matchup was the final of four games played with Coldstore nemesis Ashaiman Lions clinching a 37-31 win over Teshie Rangers.
Tema Community 2 beat Ghana Police 50-38 to complete games in Group A; Tema Heat recorded a 39-22 win over Akatsi Rifles in the other Group B encounter.
