UENR v Catholic University (blue).
After a long wait, the 2017-2018 Global Sporting Platform (GSP) Basketball League comes alive at the Eusbett Court tonight in Sunyani.

The league has been on break since December 16 last year and returns later today with four games involving all eight teams in the competition.

However, with the exception of the final game between second placed LIR Royals and bottom ranked Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints, the remaining are fairly balanced with teams involved standing a good chance to clinch a win.

Defending champions and league leaders University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) take on fifth placed Barracks Scorpions who have five points this season; three behind UENR.

Like Scorpions, West Siders are three points and three places behind tonight’s opponent Suncity Braves whose target to reclaim the league title is under threat due to a third place rank in the standings.

Easily the most compelling game to look out for is the matchup between Sunyani Technical University and Desert Rabbits. The latter lie fourth in the standings while Sunyani Technical is ranked sixth.
