Ghana Forward Ernest Aflakpui’s production was far from impressive as Temple University lost in last night’s National Collegiate Game.
The Owls lost 86-93 to Wichita State in front of home fans at the Charles Koch Arena which is sure to sting after racking up wins on the road in previous games.
More stinging is that the loss ends Temple’s four game winning streak in the regular season which had them beat sides like East Carolina and Tulane University.
Aflakpui delivered just a point, two assists and five points in 25 minutes as a starter in the loss; the 6 foot 10 inch player struggled throughout the game.
He was the sole starter who did not register double scoring numbers as fellow Forward Obi Enechionya paced the list with 17 points.
Beating Temple is a perfect response from Wichita who painfully lost 89-91 in a previous tie played on February 2.
The team takes on Houston Cougars next on Sunday February 18 on the road.
