The 2017-2018 Global Sporting Platform (GSP) Basketball League season returns from a long break this weekend in Sunyani.
League venue-Eusbett Court- has not held any league games since December 16 last year after the conclusion of the first round.
On Saturday February 17, games involving all eight teams in this season’s campaign will be played marking the start of the second round.
The round will have another break on March 10 reportedly to accommodate teams set to compete in the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.
Defending Champions and league leaders University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) take on Barracks Scorpions in the second game of the round.
Former league winners Suncity Braves play the opening game at 15:00 GMT against West Siders; Braves are third in the standings behind LIR Royals and UENR.
Sixth placed Sunyani Technical University play the third game of the day against Desert Rabbits who are two places above them in the standings.
The final game involves LIR and bottom ranked side Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints.
