Ghanaian Italian David Cournooh played one of his best games this season registering 16 points in MIA-RO Cantu’s 76-87 loss to Dolomiti En.
The loss was played out in the Italian Serie A’s latest round of games prior to a lengthy break before the commencement of the next round of games.
The 6 foot 2 inch Point Guard added three rebounds and three assists to his 16 point output in 32 minutes as a starter.
His scoring output was the team’s second highest with Charles Thomas pacing the category with 20 points; he had six rebounds and an assist in the game.
Cournooh is averaging 7.5 points and 2.7 assists per game this season in his debut campaign for Cantu following stints at The Flexx PT.
Following the loss, Cantu has dropped to ninth in the 16 team Italian league and Round 20 games will be played on March 4 with Cantu taking on league leaders Scandone AV at home.
Cournooh has played for the Italian National Team due to inactivity from Ghana’s National Team.
