Ghana Technology University College (GTUC) Male Basketball Team will achieve big things at the UPAC Championship according to Captain Isaac Nartey.

He made the statement in an interview on popular basketball television program “Courtside” ahead of this year’s Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.

The tournament is set to start early in March with over 30 tertiary institutions in line to annex Ghana’s most prestigious college title.

While GTUC is yet to progress to the knockout phase of the annual tournament, Nartey is confident his side this time around.

“We have lost a couple of guys but we will do well this year” he said.

GTUC lost the likes of Point Guard Kingsley Quist and Center Charles Annan following last year’s competition but highly touted Forward Simon Aphor is returning to the team.

GTUC missed out on a quarterfinal spot after placing second behind Marshalls University College in Group A.

University of Ghana are the defending champions following back to back wins in the past couple of years.
