Temple University’s Men’s Basketball Team was on fire earlier today in its tie against East Carolina University as the Owls run off with a big win over the Pirates.
Temple recorded a 90-73 win over Carolina lifting the team’s record for the season to 14 wins and 10 losses against the nine wins and 14 loss record of Carolina.
Playing against one of the worst performing sides in the American Athletic Conference served as a good treat for the Owls as four starters including Ghanaian Ernest Aflakpui scored in double digits.
Aflakpui registered 10 points in the win and filled the stat sheets by producing seven rebounds, one steal, assist and block respectively.
Guard Quinton Rose led all scorers in the game with 23 points with 17 points coming from Shawn Alston Jnr. who played 23 minutes in the game.
Temple is ranked fifth in the conference following a three game winning run; Cincinnati leads the standings with 22 wins and two losses.
