The 2017-2018 Global Sporting Platform (GSP) Basketball League season has been slated to end on April 28 later this year.
All league activities are expected to end on the aforementioned date with the league winner expected to be declared in late April.
Concluding the season brings the third league campaign to a close; the Sunyani based league’s maiden season ended in 2016.
The league is on a break following the end of the first half with games set to return on February 17 at the Eusbett Court.
Games were halted after December 16, 2017 to enable the sizable tertiary education institutions presence in the league take care of school related programs.
The lengthy break was necessary to give defending champions University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) time to prepare for the Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games.
UENR missed out on a medal in the competition held at the University of Development Studies in Tamale.
Eight teams are competing in this season’s tournament and UENR leads the standings.
