With just a little over a week to the start of the 2017-2018 Global Sporting Platform (GSP) Basketball League second round, teams are making feverish preparations.
Reports reaching Basketballghana.com point to several league teams lining up friendly games to get in shape for the remainder of the season.
Following a break that dates back to December 16, league games are to begin on Saturday, February 17 at the Eusbett Court.
One of such games is a proposed tie between University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) and Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints.
The matchup sees the tertiary institutions face off at Saints court with the league’s second half start date in close proximity.
UENR are defending league champions and will be involved in a matchup since returning from the 25th Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games held in Tamale.
UENR missed out on a podium finish but both teams will be involved in the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Championship in March.
UPAC games will be sandwiched by league games.
