In the aftermath of recent selections to this year’s NBA Gatorade League All Star Game, the matchup between Austin Spurs and Texas Legends was a star studded one.
Both teams have representatives in the Western Conference team which will be in action in the exhibition game little over week from today.
Spurs Darrun Hiliard and Legends duo Johnathan Motley and Jameel Warney have been selected as members of the 12 man roster.
However, all three were outshined by players who were surprisingly left out including Ghana’s Amida Brimah who leads the league in blocked shots.
Brimah ended the game with 15 points, eight rebounds, one steal and a game leading six blocks in 23 minutes; he missed one of two free throws in the contest.
On the other hand, Hilliard and Motley were inactive for the contest while Warney scored 12 points as Texas lost 124-130.
The win is a perfect response from Spurs whose six game winning run ended in midweek following a 115-120 loss to Memphis Hustle.
