Despite putting together an impressive season thus far in the campaign, Ghana Center Amida Brimah has missed out on getting selected to the NBA Gatorade League.

Amida has played a key role for Austin Spurs by averaging the league’s best mark in shot blocking this season with 2.7 swats per game.

Combining his shot blocking skills with solid rim protection has anchored Spurs great start to the year and its current number one position in the Western Conference.

However, Amida’s former University of Connecticut teammate Daniel Hamilton who plays for Oklahoma City Blue got selected to the 12 man team.

Hamilton played with Brimah at Connecticut in 2015 and 2016 before the former declared for the 2016 NBA Draft and was selected 56th overall by Denver Nuggets.

He will play in the exhibition game as a representative of Oklahoma City Blue after a strong campaign leading the side to a top four rank.

Hamilton joined the Huskies a year after Connecticut won the National College Championship. Coaches, General Managers and Players in the league were responsible for selecting players to the game.
