A brand new basketball court at the Seven Great Princess Academy will be commissioned in February Basketballghana.com gathers.
The new edifice will be opened for use officially on February 7 which doubles as the opening day of the school’s annual sports festival.
This year’s festival is slated to take place between February 7 -9 with Ghana’s Deputy Director General in charge of technical of the National Sports Authority (NSA) Saka Acquaye set to be in attendance.
Building the impressive court is a big achievement for the school and is sure to aid the development of players from a young age.
Junior and Senior High Schools in Ghana have challenges accessing basketball facilities which make the completion of this project a welcome one.
The inadequate number of courts has been identified by Accra Mayor Mohammed Adjei Sowah who has promised to oversee the construction of six playing surfaces in Ghana’s capital.
Students from Seven Great Princess Academies two campuses at Laterbiokorshie and Dansoman will be engaged in the multi sports games.
