Despite failing to replicate his improved scoring touch in Austin Spurs win over Reno Big Horns, Ghana Center Amida Brimah paced the game in the category that has made him famous.
The highly rated defender recorded three blocks in Spurs 97-90 win over Reno in last night’s NBA Gatorade League game.
The win is Spurs sixth straight win in as many games and consolidates the team’s grip atop the Western Conference standings.
Heading into the game, Austin led the Conference courtesy a 20 win 12 loss record which puts them ahead of South Bay Lakers and Oklahoma City Blue.
Brimah ended the contest with six points, three blocks and five rebounds in 27 minutes on the court; his modest trio of blocks was still enough to lead the game.
Prior to the game, Amida had been consistently scoring in double digits producing 19 and 14 points respectively in wins over Agua Caliente Clippers and Santa Cruz Warriors.
The Tudu born player leads the G League in blocks with a 2.7 average.
