The 2014 National College Champion and former Connecticut Captain now suits up for Austin Spurs in the NBA Gatorade League and leads the league in blocks.
However, his Alma Mater suffered a big 57-85 loss to Temple University which featured Ghanaian and former Keta Senior High Technical School player Ernest Aflakpui.
Aflakpui was instrumental in the Owls 18 point win over the Huskies scoring 13 points and adding two rebounds and an assist.
The win gives Temple a winning season with 11 victories and 10 losses in 21 games played this season equaling UCONN’s record.
The loss to Temple comes at a time Connecticut is under investigation for breaking rules regarding player recruitment in past years.
UCONN’s low performance took place mere hours after Amida Brimah scored 19 points in 23 minutes off the bench to lead Spurs to its fifth win in the G League.
