Ghana Police, Reformers of Prisons and Navy Warriors will compete in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I in March.

Per reports gathered by Basketballghana.com, the 2018 season will commence in the third month this year following the conclusion of the 2017 season.

The trio qualified from the ABL Division II last season after topping the competitive second tier in Ghana’s premier club basketball competition.

With the exception of Navy Warriors, Reformers and Police have featured in the top division in prior seasons before going down.

Police dropped to the lower league due to “administration circumstances” in 2015 but experienced a dominant campaign to rebound.

Reformers of Prisons fell to Division II under similar circumstances prior to the 2017 season but placed second in the standings to secure a return to the elite level.

It will be interesting to see how Warriors compete against its main side Navy in the Division I; Warriors secured the final qualification berth ahead of Junior Reformers.
