Ghana Police and Reformers of Prisons are expected to mark their return to the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I in March according to reports coming in.
Basketballghana.com has learnt the 2018 ABL season commences in March following the conclusion of the 2017 season.
The start of this year’s competition corresponds with the return of Police and Reformers to the elite male club competition in Ghana.
The duo alongside Navy Warriors secured qualification the Division I after securing the top three spots in the lower tier division.
Playing at the elite level marks the end of either team’s run outside the Division league following their respective demotion a few seasons back.
Both teams dropped to the second tier due to administrative issues and have successfully chartered their way back to the top thanks to occupying the first and second spots in last season’s Division II campaign.
Police and Prisons will compete against the likes of Tema Youth and 2017 Champions Braves of Customs in Division I.
