University of Mines and Technology (UMAT) is one of two institutions that have failed to win a medal at the 2018 Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games.
University of Professional Studies (UPSA) also missed on clinching a medal at the recently held multi sport event in Tamale.
Both teams fielded teams for the male division basketball event with little success as they missed out on a podium finish.
2016 Champions University of Ghana (UG) successfully defended its title with University of Cape-Coast and University of Education- Winneba (UEW) placing second and third respectively.
UMAT generated headlines following a 12-60 shellacking at the hands of UG on Day One of the competition and lost 28-83 to UEW.
UPSA was a major disappointment losing 35-38 to the likes of University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) at the group stage.
The 2016 silver medal winners were expected to challenge for the title but fell flat in the chase as the institution completely missed out on a title.
