Far from a close loss, Ghana’s Ben Bentil and Champagne Chalons-Riems suffered a blow out loss to Bourg in the French Pro A Basketball League.

The team lost 63-95 in the latest round of games played following the start of the season’s second half which commenced a fortnight ago.

Forward Bentil scored eight points and added two assists and two steals to his production in 23 minutes on the court.

His output marked another low key performance from the former Providence College standout; he scored 10 points in a loss to Le Mans.

The loss is Reims second straight loss after falling 84-90 to Le Mans in the last round; Reims lost to Bourg in a tie with a lot of turnovers with Bour recording 13 and Reims registering 18.

Reims top scorer Martin Hermannsson led the team with 18 points with Ed Daniels and LaMonte Ulmer being the only Reims players to score in double figures.

Bourg is ranked fifth in the standings with Reims in 13th place.
