Ghana Center Ernest Aflakpui started in Temple University’s 60-51 win over Penn State University in the National Collegiate Athletic Association tie.
Aflakpui started the game but had a low performance in his side’s win playing 17 minutes scoring two points and grabbing three rebounds.
After scoring four points in the previous tie which ended in a loss The Owls, Aflakpui failed to pick up his level of play to record to record the single digit statistic.
The 6 foot 9 inch player who can play as a Power Forward needs to improve his performance in his third year in the program.
However, his side’s win gives it 10 wins in 19 games this season and a shot to make the NCAA tournament later this year.
Aflakpui is a former Keta Senior High Technical School product and featured in the West African country’s most prestigious high school basketball competition-Sprite Ball- prior to his move to the States.
The loss is Penn’s sixth loss of the season but the team has racked 12 wins.
