Ghana Center Amida Brimah has been on a tear since late last year pacing in players in games in rebounding and blocks.
His improved game has pushed him close to usurping starters Matt Costello and Jaron Blossomgame as the team leader in rebounds.
Starting from the bench, Brimah has been a key cog for the team and a prime candidate to move up to NBA affiliate San Antonio Spurs.
However, in Austin’s latest win in the NBA Gatorade League, Amida’s hot form cooled off as the former University of Connecticut Captain failed to hit double digits.
Brimah contributed four points, six rebounds and a block in 14 minutes as Spurs beat Northern Arizona Suns 113-105 to end a two game losing run.
Prior to the game against Suns, Brimah recorded double digit rebounding numbers to lead all players in ties against Wisconsin Herd and Maine Red Claws.
Austin Spurs will be in action next on Saturday January 20 against Grand Rapid Drive in another home game.
