Ghana Center Amida Brimah shared the floor with 2013 NBA Draft Overall Number One pick Anthony Bennett in the NBA Gatorade League.
The matchup had Brimah’s Austin Spurs take on Bennett’s Maine Red Claws as Spurs fell 108-111 in the close encounter that had Austin fall ultimately short after a wild rally.
However, Bennett and Brimah faced off in the frontcourt and each player levied his strengths to clinch to influence the game.
The offensive oriented Bennett ended with 15 points and 11 rebounds registering a double double with two steals and two blocks.
The defensive oriented Brimah finished the game with five points, two assists, three blocks and a game leading 13 rebounds.
The loss is Spurs second in as many games after falling 92-95 to Wisconsin Herd in the previous matchup in another three point loss.
Former teammate of Ghana Forward Ben Bentil, Guershon Yabusele paced the game registering a game high 32 points, eight rebounds and four blocks; the latter was the game’s best mark.
