Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) Chief Executive Mohammed Adjei Sowah has received an entourage from reigning Sprite Ball Champions Presbyterian Senior High School (Osu-PRESEC).
The newly crowned winners in the male division of Ghana’s most celebrated high school basketball competition earlier today at his office.
The visit forms part of the school’s tour after clinching the 12th edition of the Championship via a 25-22 win over Mfantsipim School at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.
Members of PRESEC’s playing and technical bodies were led by Headmistress Barbara Norteye and Rite Sports Limited CEO Yaw Sakyi Afari to visit the AMA Boss; Rite Sports are organizers of the event.
Prior to visiting the Mayor of Ghana’s capital city, Osu PRESEC visited His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II at his palace in Jamestown.
The PRESEC contingent was met by top officials of the Assembly and were congratulated for clinching the region’s first title in the boys division since 2009.
Osu PRESEC shocked the field at the just ended tournament by beating record winners Mfantsipim 45-14 in the opening game and repeating the win in the final game.
