University of Ghana (UG) has clinched a big win over University of Cape-Coast (UCC) on Matchday 4 at the ongoing Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games.
UG hit UCC 94-52 in one of three games played on the court of host University of Development Studies (UDS) Campus in Tamale.
The win is the defending champion’s fourth win in the competition after beating the likes of University of Mines and Technology (UMAT) in previous rounds.
Shooting Guard Emmanuel Wolff was named the best player of the game after registering 26 points, nine rebounds and four steals.
Wolff missed out on a double double but led the team to another dominant win; he is a holdover from the 2016 winning side.
The 2016 side won that year’s Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship and All Africa University Games (FASU) respectively.
In other results, 2016 Silver medalist University of Professional Studies got edged out by Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology 40-45.
Host UDS lost 38-51 to University of Education-Winneba.
