His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II has congratulated Presbyterian Senior High School (Osu-PRESEC) for this year’s Sprite Ball Championship.

PRESEC won the celebrated competition after beating Mfantsipim School 25-22 in the final game to become the first school from Ghana’s Greater Accra Region to win the male division title since 2009.

The King Tsuru II received an large entourage from the school including players, Parent Teacher Association top officials and teaching staff.

Coach Eric Ankamah and Headmistress Barbara Norteye lead the contingent from Osu PRESEC to meet King Tsuru II at his palace in James Town.

Ankamah who was named Coach of the Tournament and Most Valuable Player of the Tournament Joel Koboayere presented their awards and were joined by members of the playing body to present the elegant trophy to King Tsuru II.

King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II stated warmly received the school’s entourage and congratulated Osu PRESEC for winning the competition.

By beating Mfantsipim School for the second time in the competition to lift the trophy, Osu PRESEC becomes Greater Accra’s male champions since Armed Forces Senior High topped the division nine years back.
