Recently crowned Sprite Ball Male Division Champions Presbyterian Senior High School (Osu-PRESEC) have made an appearance on basketball television program “Courtside”.
The team beat Mfantsipim School 25-22 in the final game of the just ended competition to win its first national title in stunning fashion.
The show which airs on Ghana channel Kwese Free Sports from 16:00 to 18:00 GMT on Sundays, had the newly minted winners on set.
2017 Exclusive Sports Man of the Year and Courtside Anchor Yaw Sakyi Afari, interviewed members of the winning team with Coach Eric Ankamah.
Ankamah described the win as an “indescribable” feeling but was quick to note hardwork over a lengthy period was the success behind his team’s success.
Most Valuable Player of the Tournament Joel Koboayere was present with backcourt teammate Rahim Alhassan who sustained an injury prior to the finals.
PRESEC’s win is more surprising considering the team beat the record winners of Sprite Ball on two occasions in this year’s edition.
Aside topping Mfantsipim in the final game, PRESEC beat down the Cape-Coast-based side with a 45-14 shellacking.
