Presbyterian Senior High School (Osu PRESEC) and Kumasi Girls High School ended the final day of competition at this year’s Sprite Ball Championship on top.
PRESEC clinched the Male Division with a 25-22 win over Mfantsipim School in the final game while Kumasi Girls piped Accra Wesley Girls High School 30-29 to place first in the female division.
Kumasi Girls started the day with an 18-10 win over Ahantaman Girls in the semifinals ahead of the close win over Accra Wesley Girls.
PRESEC-Osu beat St. Thomas Aquinas 18-12 and Pope John Senior High School 16-12 in the quarterfinal and semifinal before clinching a second straight win over Mfantsipim in the competition.
Mfantsipim got hammered 14-41 in the first game between the teams but recovered well to beat Prempeh College 20-16 and Sacred Heart Technical Institute 26-20 to make the finals.
