Mfantsipim (red) came from behind to win the game.
Osu (green) frustrated Pope John to clinch the win

Mfantsipim School has another chance to extend its Sprite Ball Championship title count after making the final game of the 2018 Sprite Ball Championship.

Mfantsipim has won four titles and is the record winner of the competition. However, the school has missed out on adding to its championship tally after losing in consecutive finals.

The team beat Sacred Heart Technical Institute 26-20 after coming from behind to clinch the win in overtime with two fast break points.

The loss is Sacred Heart’s first in the competition following an impressive performance in this year’s Championship after beating the likes of 2016 Sprite Ball winners St. Augustine’s College.

Mfantsipim take on Osu PRESEC after the latter topped Pope John Senior High School 16-12 in the final semifinal of the competition.

PRESEC is yet to lose a game in the Championship and playing Mfantsipim is the team’s first finals appearance in the competition.

The game is a rematch of the first game in this year’s edition which PRESEC-Osu won 45-14.
