The teams won respective semifinal games early in the day to book spots in the final game of the division in this year’s competition.
Both teams have missed out on winning the title after losing previous finals; Accra Wesley Girls lost to Aggrey Memorial Zion in the January 2016 final.
Kumasi Girls lost to Wesley Girls High School in the December 2016 final game after clinching third place at the previous edition.
Accra Wesley Girls avenged the finals loss to Aggrey by clinching a 19-8 win with Kumasi Girls beating Ahantaman Girls Senior High School 18-10.
Winning this year’s title will be the first Sprite Ball title for either finalist as both teams made their debuts two years ago.
Ahantaman Girls clinched a note worthy bronze medal following a 26-8 win over Aggrey Memorial Zion. Clinching bronze is Ahantaman’s best achievement at the games.
