St. John’s School and Takoradi Technical Institute (TTI) have crashed out of the 2018 Sprite Ball Championship in disappointing style after failing to win a game in the tournament.
Both teams exit the Championship after losing three games respectively in the preliminary stage of the competition which ends on Saturday January 6 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.
However, both teams will not compete on the day as neither side progressed beyond the group stage after the winless run.
St. John’s lost 4-14 to Adisadel College in its final game capping off a campaign that is a far departure from what the team exhibited at the last edition to clinch the bronze medal.
Following a lengthy absence from the tournament, TTI’s return to the competition ended after two games as the side recorded losses to Keta Senior High and Mfantsipim School.
TTI lost 0-18 to Mfantsipim which is the worst mark at the group stage and the worst thus far in the competition before falling 16-20 to Group A winners Osu PRESEC.
