Presbyterian Senior High School’s (PRESEC-Osu) remarkable run in the 2018 Sprite Ball Championship continues following the team’s second straight win in the competition.
PRESEC beat Keta Senior High Technical School 25-20 in the opening game in Group A on Day 2 of the ongoing tournament at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.
Though the team fell short of the high level it produced in a shock 45-14 win over Mfantsipim School on Day One, PRESEC had enough quality to beat the 2014 Sprite Ball Champions.
Keta dug a deep hole as it trailed 4-16 in the early minutes of the game but competed well in the second half as it attempted a comeback.
The loss means Keta must win its final game against Mfantsipim School in a marquee matchup later today; both teams have an extensive rivalry in the competition.
PRESEC have a winnable game against Takoradi Technical Institute in the final game of Group A; Takoradi has lost two straight games and has exited the tournament.
