Koforidua Senior High Technical School (KSTS) losing streak in the Sprite Ball Championship is over after the side clinched a win over St. John’s School.
KSTS beat the Sekondi side 25-16 to end a bad run of four losses which stretches back to the last edition where the team lost all three games in the preliminary stage.
Following up the losses in December 2016 with a 23-39 loss to Prempeh College in the opening game, KSTS clinched a positive result in the must win game.
The team takes on St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School on Thursday January 5 in its final game in the tough Group B.
Aquinas has been a surprise package in the early rounds of the competition clinching a 34-19 win over St. John’s School who placed third at the last edition.
Playing Aquinas is expected to be a cracking game after vociferous fans of both teams traded jabs prior to the start of the competition.
However, Aquinas will play Prempeh College before taking on KSTS.
