Several schools participating in this year’s Sprite Ball Championship have arrived at the University of Ghana.
Ghana’s premier tertiary institution will host qualified teams during the three day competition.
This year’s edition of the West African country’s biggest high school basketball competition will be held from January 4-6 at the El Wak Stadium in the nation’s capital, Accra.
The likes of St. Aquinas Senior High School, T.I.Ahmadiyya Senior High School, Koforidua Senior High Technical School and Pope John Senior High and Junior Seminary touched base earlier today.
Wesley Girls High school, Ahantaman Girls Senior High School per reports gathered by Basketballghana.com arrived ahead of the scheduled day to prepare for the competition.
26 teams representing male and female schools will compete in the tournament with 16 competing in the boys division and 10 competing in the girls division.
Defending boys champions Opoku Ware School are yet to arrive at the University of Ghana at the time of writing.
A special clinic headlined by DC Dynamics Coach Feranmi Olulonyo will be held at the Hilla Limann Hall Court for players to go through refresher sessions on several aspects of the game.
