Following a low key performance in a loss to Raptors 905 on the final day of 2017, Austin Spurs take on Long Island Nets in the NBA Gatorade League tonight with Ghana Center Amida Brimah set to feature.
The game is Spurs first of 2018 and will be hoping for a win in the aftermath of a loss to the defending league champions on December 31.
Brimah played 27 minutes off the bench and recorded 10 points, eight rebounds and a blocked shot in the game; he was two rebounds shy of recording his first double double of the season.
Tonight’s game is crucial to both teams as Spurs look to improve its-13 win, eight losses- record while a win for Nets take its wins to 15 for the season.
The game is the second of a five game stand away from home for Austin who are expected to play Westchester Knicks, Windy City Bulls and Maine Red Claw in the upcoming rounds.
Amida could matchup against Bulls two time NBA Slam Dunk Champion Zach LaVine when the teams face off on December 10.
