Ghana Police and Francophone Stars have missed out on playing in the final game of the Tema Campaign Tournament which takes place later tonight.

Both teams lost semifinal games in the Tema Basketball League’s preseason competition with Police falling 34-48 to Tema Community 2.

Ashaiman Lions piped Francophone Stars 42-41 in the opening game of the stage; both games were played at Tema’s Community 4 Court.

While Police and Stars miss the final game, Lions and Community 2 have a chance to clinch a title before the next league season commences in 2018.

After falling to Ashaiman in the group stages, it was double agony for Francophone as the team recorded its second straight loss to Lions.

The win maintains Ashaiman’s unbeaten run in the competition with the team registering another close win after similar results in Group A.

Community 2 on the other hand, has largely controlled games registering impressive wins over the likes of Tema Heat along the way; Heat placed third in the 2017 Tema League.
