Ghana Basketball Association Chairman David Addo Ashong was present for the live draw for the upcoming Sprite Ball Championship.
The Association of the West African country was present for the event which took place in a live broadcast of basketball program “Courtside” which airs on Kwese Free Sports.
Ashong has been an ever present feature at events connected with the grand tournament which takes place next year from January 4-6 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.
He was joined by Greater Accra Region Basketball Association Vice Chairman Andrew Ackah and former American College player Kobby Acquah for the draw.
Ackah was recently elected into office after successfully coming out tops in the regional elections and doubles as Vice Chair for the Accra Basketball League.
Following the draw, which pit his alma mater St. Augustine’s College in the “Group of Death”, Ackah was adamant Augustine’s will qualify from the group.
St. Augustine’s is in Group C alongside former silver and bronze medal winners Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC-Legon) and Pope John Senior High and Junior Seminary respectively and TI Ahmadiyya Senior High School.
