University of Ghana (UG) Shooting Guard Emmanuel Wolff has described winning his first Championship with the renowned tertiary institution as “amazing”.
He made the statement in an interview with Basketballghana.com ahead of the Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games in January next year at the University of Development Studies in Tamale.
UG head to the biannual competition as defending champions and favorites to lift the trophy following an unbeaten run that started in 2016.
“It was amazing my first Championship in Legon (UG), first year, great set of guys, we all put in our best and we were able to come up with an undefeated win” he said.
UG won the 2016 GUSA Final ahead of University of Professional Studies (UPSA) at the University of Education-Winneba to clinch its first title of the year.
The team went on to clinch further titles at the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship and All Africa University Games.
Wolff played a key role in the remarkable run including hitting the game winning shot at the 2016 UPAC Final against Accra Technical University.
