Outstanding Mfantsipim School alums David Akuffo and Julian Morgan are set to visit their alma mater’s camp ahead of the Sprite Ball Championship.
Per reports reaching Ghana’s leading basketball portal Basketballghana.com, the duo will touch base at the camp prior to the start of the Championship.
Mfantsipim School will pitch camp in Dodowa, a suburb in Ghana’s capital Accra-ahead of the Championship; the camp’s specific location is yet to be known.
Morgan and Akuffo played instrumental roles in helping Mfantsipim annex four Sprite Ball Championships to become the most decorated institution in the competition’s decade plus history.
Both players were responsible for delivering Mfantsipim a hat trick of wins in the boys division from 2010 to 2013; Keta Senior High Technical School ended the run by claiming the national title in 2014.
The school has qualified to feature at the next Sprite Ball after winning another Central Regional title earlier this month courtesy a 20-18 win over bitter rival St. Augustine’s College.
The next Sprite Ball takes place from January 4-6, 2018 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.
